Ukraine

Greetings, dear friends!

Ukraine 🇺🇦 is still holding on. Despite everything happening around us, we continue to serve and preach the Gospel.
We’ve had to adapt to constant power outages, air raid sirens, the threat of ballistic missiles, and devastating news. Yet, we strive to persevere, believe, and act.

In these difficult times, when anxiety and stress affect us all, we are especially mindful of how much our children are impacted.
We continue to provide psychological support to children who attend our workshops. Many of these children are displaced, longing to return home. Sadly, for many, there is no home to return to.

Let us share a little about their stories and what they’ve endured:

  • Eva, 6 years old, fled Kharkiv with her parents. When asked about her dreams, she replied, “I dream about Ukraine.” I asked her, “But you live in Ukraine. What kind of Ukraine do you dream about?” Her answer broke our hearts: “A Ukraine where we don’t have to hide in basements and can hug our loved ones.”
  • Maya came to us because her mother was desperate for help—Maya had developed an addiction to her phone. When asked why she sleeps with her phone, she said, “I’m waiting for a call from my dad who’s defending Ukraine and can’t call me.” The heartbreaking truth is that her father died in the war six months ago, but no one has told her. She’s still waiting for his call.
  • Mykhailo, 9 years old, survived a terrifying missile strike in Kharkiv, which left him with a heart attack.
  • Kateryna, 8 years old, dreams of returning home to Kharkiv. But there’s no home left to return to—her mother is now raising her and her sibling alone.

We also continue our ministry through the youth space we’ve opened at the church. Every Saturday, 15 to 20 teens gather to study the Bible, learn about church life, develop communication skills, and gain other valuable knowledge.

Together with the youth, we recently held a church bazaar to raise funds for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The teenage girls baked delicious pastries, and we were able to raise 7,000 UAH!

In addition, we continue to send care packages to the soldiers, meeting many of their urgent needs. Recently, we were able to provide heaters to warm their shelters.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supports and stands with us.
May the Lord bless you abundantly! 🙏

We are dedicated to bringing the love of Jesus to communities across the country. Through church openings, street evangelism, and sharing the message of Jesus, we aim to transform lives. We also run HAPPY TIME, a children’s project, and provide support to families with disabilities, as well as a special children’s home. Additionally, we assist local residents in conflict-affected and reclaimed territories. Join us in making a difference today!
