Serving in Kisumu: Daily Work and Mission Projects
IMOC, in collaboration with Mission Assistance in Kisumu, Kenya, continues to support vulnerable communities through various mission projects. My name is Andrii, and I serve here by purchasing food supplies for the mission, helping the young men from GDB develop practical skills, and participating in multiple outreach initiatives.
Today’s report is brief but meaningful. One of my tasks was adjusting a door latch due to the building settling, which caused it to jam. Together with the GDB team, we also welded a storage structure for potatoes to ensure a stable food supply for the mission.
Additionally, I documented the completion of a course in a project that assists girls who have survived sexual violence. It’s a privilege to witness their progress and healing. On a lighter note, I spent time at the local market selecting fresh fruits for the mission’s food program.
On a personal level, I had an eye exam today to find suitable lenses for my astigmatism—definitely a challenge! One day, I hope to undergo laser correction, but for now, it remains a distant goal.
Thank you all for your prayers and financial support. Without you, this work wouldn’t be possible. May you be blessed in all you do!
