Ministry Update from Kisumu, Kenya: Sasha Syskova with Assistance Mission
Dear friends,
Warm greetings from Kisumu, Kenya!
My name is Sasha Syskova, and I serve full-time with Assistance Mission. I am responsible for managing the ministry’s finances, assisting with translation, supporting the youth ministry, and providing first aid help.
Today, I would love to share a glimpse of what God has been doing through our ministry.
📚 Sponsorship Program
One of my key responsibilities is overseeing all income and expenses of our mission’s finances.
Here you see me and Inna, part of our sponsorship team, handing out school fees to support over 500 children for this month.
Thanks to this support, these children can continue their education without interruption — a true blessing for their families and future.
👥 Staff Coordination and Mission Base Security
I also manage salaries and coordinate with some of our staff members.
Here I am with Risper, our church administrator, discussing security improvements for our mission base and new policies we are implementing to keep our community safe.
🏥 First Aid Ministry
Another important part of my service is providing basic first aid.
We assist people who have a doctor’s prescription but cannot afford to buy medicine themselves.
Additionally, I treat injuries and different types of wounds.
It is a privilege to meet physical needs while sharing the hope we have in Christ.
🔥 Youth and Preteen Ministry
From our mission base, we support two local churches.
Here I am with Pius, the youth ministry leader of our second church. We are working together to create joint programs between the two churches, planning youth outreaches and member visitations.
We are also continuing with our “Fire Camp” for preteens.
It has been amazing to witness how God is moving in the hearts of these young people, raising a generation passionate for Him.
🌍 Evangelism Trip to the Pokot Tribe
Recently, we traveled six hours to reach the Pokot tribe for a special evangelism outreach.
We ministered to children, preteens, and youth — many of whom heard the Gospel for the very first time.
We saw young people receive freedom, healing, and hope in Christ!
This outreach was possible thanks to the generous support of IMOCE.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to bring the light of Christ to the unreached.
We also want to wish you a joyful Easter — Jesus is risen!
Thank you so much for your continued support, trust, and prayers.
You are a vital part of this mission, and we pray God’s abundant blessings over you and your ministries!
With love from Kenya,
Sasha Syskova
