Easter Hope and Community Impact Among the Pokot
Happy Easter from West Pokot, Kenya!
My name is Natalia Onguko, and together with my family, I have the joy of serving the Pokot tribe. I’m grateful to share a glimpse of what the Lord has done in our community during this Easter season — a time filled with renewed hope and deep reflection on the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
We thank God for the Easter celebration, which brought a fresh wave of faith and encouragement to many hearts. In the past two weeks, I had the privilege of joining our local team in organizing and leading:
Four women’s meetings across our church locations,
Kids’ playtime and activities,
Meals served to community members, bringing nourishment and fellowship.
None of this would have been possible without the faithful work of local pastors supported by IMOCE . They played a vital role in organizing the events, translating the services, and following up with the community members afterward. Their dedication and consistency are a great testimony to the fruit of your support.
A Milestone: Opening of the Girl’s Rescue Center
We are also praising God for the official opening of the Girl’s Rescue Center in West Pokot. This center will provide safety, support, and a new beginning for many girls at risk. I was honored to share a message of God’s love during the ceremony, where we welcomed government officials, girls, and members of the community. It was a powerful moment of unity and hope.
A Personal Note: Please Pray
As I write this, I also want to share a personal request. I have been unwell for the past four days, and the doctors have not yet found a clear diagnosis.
I humbly ask for your prayers for healing and strength, so I may continue to serve wholeheartedly where God has placed me.
Thank you, IMOCE, for your continued support.
Because of you, lives are being touched and transformed. From every prayer lifted to every donation given — you are part of this story.
May the power of the Resurrection continue to inspire and bless you.
With love and gratitude,
Natalia Onguko
