Greetings from the Turkana Desert

Victoria School in Natidao has become a sanctuary for many vulnerable children, providing them not only with education but also a place of joy and belonging. More than just a school or orphanage, it is a space where children can pray, play, learn, and receive nourishment.

The teachers have observed remarkable improvements in the students’ learning. Most children can now read, write, and speak simple English. The dedication of the teachers shines through as they continue to support each other and grow in their own teaching methods. Christian values and teachings are woven into the school’s curriculum, with Bible study being an integral part of the children’s daily lessons.

We strive to offer balanced meals to the children, although sourcing vegetables can be challenging at times. Despite these difficulties, we remain committed to their well-being.

Located near Lake Turkana, the school has seen firsthand the effects of rising water levels, which have displaced several families. Some of our students come from these affected families, and the school has become a vital source of stability for them during these uncertain times.

Our tree saplings are thriving, creating a welcoming and shaded environment in the school yard. We are grateful for your prayers and financial support, which make it possible for us to bring hope to these children in partnership with you.

Together, we continue to provide hope.
