Transforming Lives through Service: A Glimpse into Missionary Work in Kenya
Greetings, everyone!
My name is Baraka, and along with my family, we serve as pastors at our local church in Kenya, working alongside a dedicated team of missionaries through Mission Assistance. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve and for the passion that fuels us to make a difference in the lives of the people in our slum community. The transformation we have witnessed through the church’s ministry is nothing short of miraculous, and we are filled with joy as we see lives being changed.
A special thank you goes out to all who support us, both financially and in prayer. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to IMOCE and Brother Anatoliy for their unwavering love and support in helping us build our church and sustain our programs. Your generosity has been a blessing.
In the past few weeks, we have been busy with several impactful initiatives. Last Saturday, we hosted a free medical camp at our church compound as part of our evangelistic outreach. This event was open to everyone, especially those in our surrounding slum community, many of whom cannot afford basic medications for common ailments. We were blessed to serve over 220 individuals, including men, women, children, and the elderly, who came seeking medical assistance.
Through this medical camp, we were able to not only provide much-needed care but also share the love of Christ with those who were in desperate need. We are grateful that we could pray with those who attended and invite them to join our church family. Many of those we served shared that they had been unable to seek medical help because they couldn’t even afford the minimal cost of a check-up. This reality reflects the struggles many in our community face—without the ability to buy medicines, their health worsens.
Despite the challenges, our regular Sunday services are filled with people eager for Christ’s message of hope and healing. We are so thankful for the church, as it has become a beacon of help, transformation, and spiritual growth for our community. To all who contributed to the building of this church, we want to express our heartfelt thanks. It is truly a blessing to have a place to worship and serve.
As a pastor, I am privileged to use this platform to teach, preach, and speak life into the lives of those who attend. We continue to hold our Friday evening prayer services, where we gather to pray for various needs, including the movement of the Holy Spirit and the deepening of God’s love within our lives. We also lift up our ministry partners in prayer, thanking God for their support.
May God bless each one of you, and may He continue to keep you in His care. We are forever grateful for your prayers and support, for helping us build our church, and for loving us as you do. We could not do this without you. Thank you for standing with us in this mission to transform lives in our community.
Blessings, Baraka and Family
