Ten Years of Service, A New Beginning
For nearly a decade, missionary Vlada Sydorchuk has poured her heart into ministry in Kenya. This month marks a quiet but meaningful milestone: the transition of several long-term projects into the hands of the local team and fellow missionaries—women she calls her sisters, courageous and steadfast in Christ.
The journey has not been simple. These ten years held challenges, seasons of exhaustion, moments of joy, and countless stories of God’s faithfulness. Standing at the finish line of this chapter, Vlada shares how deeply she has been moved by testimonies from people whose lives were touched through the projects she helped build. Families receiving beds instead of sleeping on the ground, children gaining access to education, communities hearing about God’s love through practical care—each story has been a reminder that compassion speaks loudly, even in the fast pace of the 21st century.
Today, as Kenya welcomes new guests and the ministry continues to grow, Vlada steps into a season of waiting on God, seeking the next assignment He will entrust to her. Leaving a place she loves is not easy; her heart remains woven into the lives of the people she has served. Yet she believes this quiet time with Jesus will be precious and full of purpose.
Vlada also expresses deep gratitude to everyone who supports missionaries through IMOCE. She shares that their generosity has strengthened those serving on the ground and has become a tangible part of every transformed life. Those who invest in missionaries, she says, will share in the fruit of their ministry before the Father.
We are grateful for Vlada’s faithfulness, her decade of service, and her trust in God’s leading. And we remain thankful to everyone whose support makes it possible for missionaries in Kenya to continue serving, loving, and bringing hope where it is needed most.
