Missionary Service Report from Kisumu, Kenya

Greetings from Kisumu, Kenya! 🇰🇪
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your financial support and assistance in realizing several projects.

My name is Oleksandra Sysskova, and I serve as a financial coordinator and translator. Additionally, I am actively involved in evangelism and youth ministry. Recently, we organized a wonderful “Happy Time” event, and I am deeply thankful for your support in making this happen.

Bringing Joy to Children in a Shelter

A few days ago, Natasha, our church ministers, and I visited a local shelter for children. It was a time of immense blessing as we served the children through games, sweet treats, and, most importantly, sharing the Word of God and the Gospel. Many of these children rarely receive such attention, and some are children with disabilities. We are grateful to IMOC for enabling us to give them a little Christmas joy.

Healthcare Support

Recently, I experienced malaria for the first time, and it was a sobering reminder of the challenges faced by so many here. I am incredibly thankful for the free medical clinics we offer to local residents. These clinics provide life-saving assistance, offering initial medical care and necessary medications to those suffering from malaria and other severe illnesses. Your support is truly saving lives.

Youth Ministry and Evangelism

We also had the opportunity to serve in a village youth conference in another town. In Kenya, it is common to find churches and people attending services. However, many individuals, including church leaders, are not born-again Christians and often have misguided motives for attending church. At this conference, we witnessed a profound hunger for the Gospel, even among the leaders and ministers. It was a powerful time as young people accepted Jesus Christ, received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and were ignited with a passion for discipleship.

We hope that next year, some of these youth will join the “Year for God” program at our Bible school, deepening their faith and commitment to ministry.
