Greeting everyone and Happy New Year.
My name is Baraka and together with my family we have been service as local pastors for slightly more than two years now. We are forever grateful to IMOCE and everyone who has partnered with us to realize the vision of reaching out to people in the slums with the gospel of Jesus. Thank you our brother Anatoliy Kolomiyets for your consistent support and love for us as a family and as a church too.
Thank you for helping us build a Church that has now become a place of transformation and influence for the whole community.
I would love to share some of the things we have been up to for the past few weeks or so.

I am happy to share that we are 99% finished with construction of church . All the rooms we prayed to finish are now done and are already being used. One is already a functional kids room for the toddlers who come to church with their parents on Sunday. The church has now been tremendously transformed.
We are so grateful to every single person who gave their finances and offered prayers on our behalf to finish the church building. Thank you for ensuring that our people have a place to worship God.

As a church we believe in building and growing in our individual relationships with Jesus. That has been our core teaching as a church. We are grateful to God that we can preach and teach the true word of God. I thank God for the privilege to preach His word and to raise disciples for Christ. We continue to meet in Churhc every Sunday for our services. We also continue meeting for Churhc prayers every Friday and our ministries of the youth, teens , pre teens and kids continue.

As a church we also feel the responsibility of getting involved with the community around us. We recently had impromptu floods and as usual most of the people around had to relocate temporarily. To help take care and mitigate of flood waters; we decided to place road culverts to help ease the movement of water. While making the Churhc accessible; we also help the community with the floods and use this exercise as our evangelistic tool to preach Christ in the community.

We had a great and wonderful Christmas service to celebrate our Savior and Lord Jesus. We used this time to share the love of Christ with the community and during the Christmas service we served lunch to everyone too.

Thank you also to everyone who has supported our feeding program for a year now. We are thankful that we are able to serve at the moment 140 individuals who are mostly grandmothers; orphans ; grandfathers. Everyday they are served with dinner. This project has also created employment to some of our people in church who work as cooks in project.

We also had a great time at the beginning of the year with our ministry leaders and the servants. It was a time to evaluate the year that had been and to plan for the new year. It was also a time of prayer and thanksgiving and to seek God even more with our leaders. We prayed together; prayed for one another and the church and also laid down our plans for the year before God.

The highlight of the year 2024 was the last Sunday. This was our baptism Sunday. We baptized 18 individuals who had earlier given their lives to Christ but now decided to publicly declare it. We are happy as a church that more and more people and especially the young people are giving their lives to Christ. We are called to make disciples of all nations; teach the gospel of Jesus and baptize the believers.

Thank you once again for all your financial support, prayers and for your partnership; and thank you for empowering us to be able to reach out to many in the slums and villages with the gospel of Christ. May God bless you and Happy New Year 2025.
