Greetings from Kisumu, Kenya!

My name is Baraka, and together with my wife, I have the honor of leading our local church here in Kisumu. We are incredibly grateful to IMOCE and our partners for the support that has allowed us to establish and grow this ministry in the slums of Kisumu, transforming lives through the church and the various projects we undertake.

Feeding Program

Through our feeding program, about 130 people now receive a warm dinner each evening, which has been a true blessing. This program serves as a vital channel to share the love and message of Jesus with orphans, widows, grandparents, and struggling single parents. Many people have shared how the program has been a lifeline, helping them avoid going to bed hungry. Thank you to everyone who has supported us in this ministry.

Construction and Church Space

I’ve also been overseeing the church’s construction work, hoping to complete it soon. Once finished, this space will provide a welcoming place for worship and a safe area for children. We’re making good progress, and with God’s grace, the construction will soon be complete.

Teen Ministry

This past Sunday, I ministered to the Teen Ministry, teaching on salvation and the importance of knowing Jesus. It was inspiring to witness 11 young people respond to the call for salvation. I truly believe that through these young disciples, God will transform our community.

Men’s Fellowship

Last Saturday, we hosted our monthly men’s fellowship. This time together allows us to pour into each other, strengthening our commitment to God, our families, and our communities. We worship and pray as men, discussing our roles and the responsibilities God has given us. Godly men have the power to impact society deeply, and these meetings remind us of our calling.

Regular Services and Upcoming Ministry Activities

Our Sunday services and ministry programs continue to bring the message of Jesus into people’s lives. As schools are currently closed, we are preparing a series of activities for children, pre-teens, teens, and youth in the coming weeks. I look forward to sharing updates on these activities soon.

Once again, we are deeply grateful for the support from IMOCE and our partners. Through the church, many lives have been transformed, and we pray that God will continue to bless and guide us in this mission.

Thank you for your prayers, and may God bless you all abundantly.
