Hello everyone! I’d like to share some updates about our ministry here in Kenya.

I’m serving in a support mission with my primary focus on managing a children’s home and leading a pre-teen ministry. Our children’s home currently shelters 30 children, though 5 of them stay with us temporarily. My responsibilities include ordering and overseeing the procurement of essentials to ensure the children have everything they need, tracking our expenses, and spending quality time with the kids during weekends and holidays. Many of the younger children—and some of the older ones—love crafts, and we’ve recently been blessed with a foosball table, though I lost my first game against the boys!

I also maintain cleanliness and order in the home, establishing daily routines and assigning children their chores. They help with tasks like washing dishes and taking turns mopping the floors in the evening. Additionally, we’re working on creating a dedicated learning space. We have two teachers who assist with homework, and I monitor the children’s grades closely, coordinating extra lessons for those who fall behind or miss certain topics.

We recently had two boys placed with a family, and I make an effort to visit them regularly, staying in touch with both the children and their guardian, always bringing gifts when we visit. I’m also responsible for managing the finances, finding sponsors, controlling the budget, and providing funds as needed. For instance, we recently calculated the cost of the children’s transportation to school, and I attended the end-of-term school meeting with parents.

Thanks to IMOCE’s financial support, we were able to purchase 60 pairs of sandals, giving each child two pairs. We have also started preparing a Christmas skit for both ministry and outreach purposes. Today, I met with the girls, handed out the script, and invited everyone to contribute their ideas as we begin rehearsals. On Saturday, I held a Bible knowledge game for the leaders to help them understand the structure of our pre-teen ministry sessions. I also met with prospective guardians to discuss future plans and training sessions.

A huge thank-you to everyone for your support—may the Lord bless each of you!
