Greetings from Kisumu, Kenya! My name is Alexandra Syskova. I’m blessed to serve in a support mission here, where I handle financial matters, translations, medical assistance, and youth ministry. Every day, I assist with translation for those in need; our mission has six individuals who require language support. I primarily translate lessons, meetings, and Sunday services. I also provide basic medical assistance, and now, we’re fortunate to have a sister who shares these duties with me!

On the financial side, I manage all incoming and outgoing funds for the mission base, churches, and various ministries. Recently, we conducted an outreach at a shelter located in the slums. To our surprise, we met many children with disabilities and developmental delays. The youngest were just two weeks old, very thin and suffering from malnutrition. In Kenya, witchcraft is unfortunately prevalent, and the shelter workers shared how outsiders sometimes cast spells on these children. One staff member recounted an instance where a young boy stopped speaking after one such encounter. We were grateful for the opportunity to share God’s love with these children.

The youth volunteers were incredibly active, initiating conversations and prayers, and several children accepted Jesus Christ. We played fun games, shared the Gospel in creative ways, danced, and worshipped together. Praise God for this blessed time! We had a team meeting to discuss future steps for the shelter, and it’s encouraging to collaborate across different ministries.

We want to express our heartfelt thanks for your support and trust in our missionary work. Your generosity enables us to continue helping those in need and spreading the Gospel. You are an essential part of our mission, and we pray for blessings for you and your loved ones. Thank you for being with us!
