Steady Care, Quiet Joy
In Kitale, Kenya, the ministry at Project New Day and the Embrace Center continues in the kind of steady, faithful rhythm that changes children’s lives over time. Behind each school day, each Bible lesson, each meal, and each small moment of care is something deeply important: children are being reminded that they are seen, loved, and not alone.
At Project New Day, the children continue to gather every Monday and Wednesday for Bible sessions. These meetings are helping them grow in faith, learn good character, and make wise choices in daily life. Midweek time also includes creative activities that give the children room to express themselves, enjoy being together, and learn with joy. After returning to school, they came back with fresh energy, and the team has continued to walk beside them with encouragement and practical support as they settle back into their studies.
One of the most meaningful parts of this season is that the children are now receiving meals every day from Monday through Sunday. For many families, this brings real relief. It means children are not trying to learn while hungry. It means there is greater peace at home. Alongside this, the team at Project New Day continues to care for the children in practical ways by maintaining hygiene, cleanliness, and a safe, stable environment where they can feel protected and valued.
At the Embrace Center, this same care was seen in beautiful and memorable ways. On the 14th, visitors came to spend time with the children and brought gifts that filled the day with excitement, laughter, and a clear sense of love. Then on the 20th, the center held a special Market Day, where each child could choose clothes according to personal need and preference. It was not only practical help. It gave the children something many people take for granted: dignity, confidence, and the simple joy of having a choice. Bible lessons also continue there regularly, helping shape the children’s spiritual lives and strengthen the values that will guide them into the future.
The wider ministry in Kitale is also being carried by local leaders who continue to serve through preaching, worship, and children’s programmes. They are teaching Scripture, guiding young hearts, and creating spaces where faith can grow in real and lasting ways. Their service touches both children and adults, and their consistency is helping build a stronger Christian community.
This ministry is moving forward because people continue to support it with open hearts. Thanks to those who support the ministry through IMOC, and to partners including Emish Market and Paradise Village, children in Kitale are receiving food, guidance, spiritual care, and the daily reminder that their lives matter. Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with this work. Your support is helping sustain places where children can grow with hope, stability, and the knowledge that God has not forgotten them.
