“Greetings, everyone! My name is Baraka, and together with my family, we serve as Pastors of New Life Church in Kisumu, Kenya. We are grateful to everyone who supports us, ensuring we have a place of worship,” shares Pastor Baraka.

Thanks to the support of IMOC and Brother Anatoliy, the church has expanded its mission and become an influential spiritual center in the community.

“Your support and friendship have blessed so many in different ways. We have been empowered to preach the Gospel of Jesus and reach people in the slum community through different projects. The church has become a lighthouse in the area and a beacon of influence.”

Completed Construction and Expanding Ministries

“We are happy to announce that all the construction work has been completed! Now we have more space for our ministry meetings, discipleship groups, a prayer room, and a kids’ room equipped with toys for our toddlers every Sunday,” says Pastor Baraka.

Each week, the church hosts Sunday services and Friday prayer meetings, where the pastor preaches, teaches the Word, prays for people, and encourages them in Christ.

“We continue to witness more and more people join us as they come to understand the truth of the Gospel.”

The church also actively ministers to different age groups, from kids and pre-teens to teenagers and young adults.

“Our ministries have continued to bless those who attend them, and we use these platforms to preach and spread the work of God.”

A Church Wedding – A Milestone Event

Recently, New Life Church hosted its first-ever wedding.

“It was such a great moment to see two of our young people get married in a Godly way. It was an honor to take them through pre-marriage counseling and then officiate their wedding,” says Pastor Baraka.

This event inspired many young people to build strong, God-centered families.

A Loss in the Church Community

Among the joyful moments, there was also a sorrowful loss—the passing of an elderly church member.

“It was devastating news, but we remain strong in Christ. We visited the family to pray with them, console them, and offer financial and moral support as they prepared for the funeral,” shares the pastor.

During the visit, Pastor Baraka also took the opportunity to share the Gospel with those gathered.

“Please continue praying for the family—for God’s grace and peace to be upon them and us as well.”

Kids Ministry & Feeding Program

The kids’ ministry continues to grow and flourish.

“On average, 200-250 kids come for our kids’ church every Sunday afternoon. We thank God for the transformation we see in these young ones—some have even brought their families to church!”

The feeding program has also made a great impact.

“At the moment, we can feed 135 individuals from our church who cannot afford even one meal a day. Many of them are deeply grateful for this blessing, and so are we.”

Pastor Baraka extends his heartfelt appreciation to everyone who supports their mission:

“May God continue to bless you and your work as you stand with us. Thank you for being a blessing to us and our community!”
