Serving Communities in Pokot and Mt. Mtelo, Kenya
At the end of November, the Okafrica mission team carried out an outreach in the Pokot region of Kenya, serving communities in Sigor and Mt. Mtelo. This ministry took place from November 28 to November 30 and focused on medical care, children’s outreach, and humanitarian support for families in remote areas.
On November 28, the team traveled approximately three hours to Pokot, Sigor, where a medical clinic and a children’s program were organized for surrounding villages. More than 200 people received medical examinations, treatment, and necessary care. At the same time, over 200 children took part in a kids’ evangelism program, where they heard about God’s love, received prayer, and were encouraged in faith and hope. The outreach brought practical help and spiritual support to the local community.
On November 29, the team continued their journey from Sigor to Mt. Mtelo, traveling about two hours to prepare for the next day’s ministry.
On November 30, the mission reached Mt. Mtelo, where the team met with families facing difficult living conditions. Food packages were distributed to 60 families, providing essential supplies and tangible support. This time with the families highlighted the ongoing needs in remote mountain areas and the importance of consistent care and presence.
This outreach was carried out by the Okafrica mission team in Kitale, Kenya, and was made possible through the support of sponsors of IMOCE and the partnership of Emish Market. Their support allows medical, children’s, and humanitarian ministries to continue reaching vulnerable communities across Kenya.
