Mission Report from Kisumu, Kenya
Back in Dunga’s slums, Sasha and the local team continue to serve faithfully. Some days involve distributing salaries for church and base staff. Others include carrying months of tithe offerings in coins — a quiet but powerful witness to the faithfulness of the local church.
There are also moments of urgent first aid — tending to wounds that have gone untreated for far too long.
Sasha also partners with Natasha in family outreach. One recent visit brought a new bed, food, and clothes to a boy from the preteen center. He lives with his grandmother, who’s raising him and five other children after their parents abandoned them.
“He was so proud at our Fire Camp graduation,” Sasha writes, eyes lingering on his photo. “Moments like that stay with you.”
Revival Among Women
Each week, the team visits 3–4 families, while many local leaders also carry out their own home visits and prayer walks. One beautiful fruit of this consistency is Mariam — a woman transformed.
She first came to the church during a prayer walk. Today, she’s burning with passion for Jesus — boldly testifying that her son was healed of sickle cell anemia through prayer and faith.
“She’s on fire for God,” Sasha says. “And she’s not alone.”
Youth, Unity, and What’s Next
The ministry continues to invest in the next generation — hosting worship leaders who share their testimonies, and preparing a joint sports day with two local churches to engage youth through fellowship and fun.
“Thank you to everyone who supports me,” Sasha shares. “Every prayer, every gift — it carries weight. Your trust makes it possible for me to keep building His Kingdom here.”
Let’s keep standing together — in prayer, in faith, in love — believing that the seeds planted in Kenya will continue to grow into lives forever changed.
