From the heart of Kisumu, Kenya — where the heat of the sun meets the warmth of service — comes a story not of closure, but of transformation. Missionary Natalia, serving with the Assistance Mission (Содєйствіє), shares how God is moving in and through Daddy’s Home — a place that has long offered safety and healing for children who had no one else.

By the end of this month, all of the children from Daddy’s Home will be reunited with foster families. But this is not the end of the ministry. It’s a new beginning. The home is not closing — it’s becoming something more intimate, more personal, more like what every child was created for: family.

“We believe that what the enemy tried to steal — love, care, and security — God is restoring,” Natalia says. “Daddy’s Home has been a place of healing, and now those stories of hope continue in family homes.”

The heart of the ministry remains the same. Each child still receives care, education, and, above all, love. Natalia stays closely involved — checking on the children’s school progress, meeting with teachers, organizing tutoring sessions, and making sure each one has the tools they need to grow in wisdom and confidence. Education isn’t just a task — it’s a key to freedom, including the freedom to read God’s Word on their own.

Each month, around one and a half boxes of A4 notebooks, over a hundred pens and pencils, and other supplies are distributed. Natalia also oversees the children’s nutrition — planning meals, preparing budgets, purchasing groceries, and working with the kitchen team — so that even the smallest details reflect God’s care.

Evenings are sacred. Bible stories. Prayer. Quiet talks. Laughter. Games. Sometimes just sitting beside a child and listening. Sometimes watching a film together or playing FaceTen. These aren’t just programs — they are moments of family.

And those who’ve already left the home? They’re not forgotten. When possible, the team celebrates birthdays with a small cake — a simple but powerful way of saying: you matter.

This transition brings new work too. Natalia spends many hours in the office — handling reports, updating children’s files, communicating with sponsors, and preparing documents for foster families and staff. The team is now supporting new foster families personally — offering food parcels, rent assistance, and pastoral care — and carefully documenting each step.

Beyond the walls of Daddy’s Home, Natalia also leads a preteens ministry at New Life Church, where around 250 children gather weekly to learn about God. Many come from non-believing families. And yet — their hearts are open, their questions honest, their hunger for God real.

“We pray for you every day,” Natalia writes. “Knowing you’re standing with us means more than we can say.”

Thank you to everyone who supports this ministry — through prayer, finances, and care. Because of you, God’s love is reaching children who once had no one.

May the Lord richly bless you and your families.
