Kenya 06/25/2024
Greetings to all! My name is Andrey, and I serve in Kisumu with the Assistance Mission. Last week, I went on a family trip with my brother and sister. Despite it being only a few days, I am very happy to have spent time with my loved ones. The last time I saw my brother was a year ago. Such meetings encourage and fill the heart with joy and peace. When you are so far from home, you always hope someone will visit or offer words of support. I thank God for this opportunity.
On my way home, I stopped by our missionary friends and helped with the construction of a new church. At that time, we were working on the frame for pouring the reinforced concrete belt. Soon, people will gather there to praise God.
We continue to build the art center. We are engaged in welding, painting, and other tasks. We are preparing to receive a youth team from the States. In general, we are moving forward! Welding work with windows and the angle grinder is indispensable. I am replacing the drainage system in the shower. Workers are arriving soon, and we need to get everything done. Another truckload of stones is needed to fill the yard due to flooding.
I also ask for your prayers for peace and order in Kenya. Due to the government’s new tax laws, protests are taking place across the country. Unfortunately, on such days, it is impossible to procure all the necessary items for the mission as shops are closed and it is dangerous to go outside. We believe that the Lord is changing the people around us and the entire country. In such moments, we hope for peaceful negotiations.
