Hope for Ukraine: Reaching Children, Soldiers, and Families in Need
Greetings from Ukraine!
We are deeply thankful to God — and to each of you — for standing with us. Because of your faithful support, we are able to move forward, serve the vulnerable, and proclaim the Gospel across our nation.
Through the efforts of our mission’s regional branches, Happy Time youth and children’s spaces continue to flourish in various parts of Ukraine. These are safe, welcoming places where children and teens can build friendships, learn vital life skills, and most importantly, encounter the love and truth of God.
In an atmosphere of warmth and trust, young people learn to understand themselves, relate to others, and grow in strong moral values. Bible study and discovering Jesus Christ remain at the heart of everything we do.
But our ministry goes beyond the classroom. We are intentionally reaching out to those who need care and comfort the most — and sadly, that number continues to grow. One of the most urgent needs today is support for wounded Ukrainian soldiers returning from the front lines.
We are regularly approached by family members — parents, wives, sisters, and brothers — asking for help. Some need wheelchairs. Others request hygiene supplies, diapers, or urgent transportation from hospital to home. Behind every request is pain, fatigue, grief — but also a fragile hope that someone will respond with compassion.
This week, we received another injured soldier. And again, we faced the heartbreaking reality: our government often falls short in caring for its heroes. But we believe that through unity, compassion, and faith, we can be the ones who step in when help is needed most.
In addition to direct outreach, we also partner with other charitable organizations, assisting them in reaching the poor, the displaced, and the overlooked.
Recently, our team visited a village hosting many displaced families — most of them young mothers with small children who lost their homes but held on to their faith and hope. We were able to provide baby food, diapers, and basic necessities, but more importantly, we shared the Word of God, bringing light into the darkness and comfort into their pain.
We also organized a small distribution for families in crisis, offering practical help and the message of God’s love and restoration.
We are deeply grateful for every one of you who has walked this journey with us — for your finances, your containers, your generosity, and your prayers.
You have stood by Ukraine and our missionaries for many years, and your faithfulness is bearing fruit in countless lives.
May the Lord bless you abundantly. Together, we are bringing hope, healing, and the Gospel to Ukraine — one family at a time.
