This month, missionary Sasha Syskova, serving full-time in Kisumu, Kenya with Mission Assistance, continues to pour her heart into discipleship and youth ministry. Together with her co-leader Sharon, she mentors young people in understanding the meaning of the cross and the depth of Christ’s sacrifice.

During recent youth gatherings, the team explored what Jesus endured physically and emotionally during the crucifixion — referring even to medical evidence from The Case for Christ. These studies brought a deeper realization that Jesus not only died for our sins but shared in our human pain. Many young adults were deeply moved as they discussed and reflected in small groups, followed by a time of worship and Holy Communion.

In addition to teaching and discipleship, Sasha continues to provide medical aid to those in need. She cared for Levis, a young boy with an infected foot caused by poisonous thorns, and David, a man recovering after a leg amputation who recently faced new complications but is now doing better.

Through all these moments — in worship, learning, and care — God’s love continues to touch lives in Kisumu.
Sasha expresses her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supports her ministry: “Your kindness makes it possible for us to serve in God’s Kingdom. I am truly grateful for your partnership.”
