Children’s outreach continues in the hardest places of Cuba
Cuba is going through one of the most difficult seasons in its recent history. In Santiago de Cuba, on the eastern side of the island, people are enduring up to 20 hours a day without electricity. When there’s no power, there’s no water. No gas. No bread. And for many children — no stability, no hope.
But in the middle of this darkness, something beautiful is happening.
A team supported by sponsors of the IMOCE mission is serving faithfully in these trying conditions. They don’t just offer words of comfort. They show up — bringing joy, bringing food, and above all, bringing the love of God.
Last week, the team traveled over 80 kilometers to reach one of the most remote villages in Santiago de Cuba province. Nearly 200 children gathered for a one-day outreach called Happy Time — a place where the Gospel is proclaimed with kindness, songs, and games. For many of these children, it was the first time they had ever tasted cotton candy. Some had never even seen corn.
And yet, something even sweeter happened that day — dozens of children memorized a verse from the Bible, and many opened their hearts to Jesus.
In the midst of crisis, they found light.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who supports this mission. Your prayers, your giving, your faith — it matters. Through you, children on this island are discovering that God sees them. Loves them. And will not forget them.
Thank you for helping us be His hands and feet, even here — where bread is scarce, but hope is multiplying.
