In the vibrant heart of Kisumu, Kenya, where sun-drenched dust swirls and life never truly pauses, missionary Andrii diligently carries out his service through the Assistance Mission.

Though his daily duties appear unassuming—procuring essentials, mending what needs repair, transporting teams between assignments—the influence he wields runs deep. Over recent weeks, Andrii facilitated a group of recent Bible school graduates, who dedicated themselves to serving the local church, youth, and children. He navigated them through the city, visiting churches, outreach programs, and locales where their presence fostered happiness and fortitude.

“It’s been a full season,” Andrii reflects. “I observed how their spirits bonded with the community. My function was mostly behind the scenes, but I recognize that each trip, each stop, held significance.”

Besides the operational aspects, Andrii provides backing for the mission’s ongoing projects. He recently obtained mattresses for the Bed for Family initiative—a program to assist children residing in slums, who lack even beds. A mattress represents more than simple ease; it offers dignity, repose, and occasionally, the initial genuine gift a child has received.

At a children’s shelter in another town, Andrii and the team also ministered to children with disabilities. The Bible school visitors participated in the outreach, assisting in washing clothing and bedding for children unable to attend to their own needs.

Throughout it all, Andrii observed a humble but momentous anniversary: his fourth birthday commemorated in Kenya.

“I am thankful to God for this path,” he shares. “It’s a journey where I continually learn, evolve, and experience life anew.”

A distinctive element of the mission is the art center for children. Over time, the participants in the art classes have blossomed in confidence and talent. Now, numerous of them create at an advanced skill level, their artwork illustrating tales of perseverance and charm often concealed.

“I’m profoundly thankful to everyone who supports me—through prayer, inspiration, or financial donations,” Andrii adds. “My aspiration is to travel outside Kenya someday, to get dental care and enhance my vision. If you include me in your prayers, it signifies more than words can capture.”

Thank you to all who facilitate this type of service. Because of your support, individuals like Andrii can keep on serving where the need is greatest—unassumingly, with humility, and brimming with affection.
