A New School Term, A New Beginning
January marks a meaningful transition for the children served through the New Day Project and the Embrace Center in Kitale, Kenya. As a new school term approaches, this season carries more than academic preparation—it brings renewed hope, stability, and the promise of growth.
In the days leading up to the start of school, the teams on the ground have been spending intentional time with the children. Through presence, encouragement, and prayer, they are helping the children regain routine and confidence after the holiday break. Each child is reminded that they are seen, valued, and supported as they step into a new chapter.
Many of these children come from vulnerable and challenging backgrounds, where returning to school can feel overwhelming. Creating a safe, steady environment has been a central focus. The teams have walked alongside the children emotionally and spiritually, encouraging them to set goals, believe in their abilities, and approach the new term with confidence.
This work has been made possible through the faithful support of IMOC, Emish Market, and Paradise Village. Because of this partnership, the children are able to begin the school year with a sense of security, readiness, and hope for the future.
The teams serving with Okafrica in Kitale remain committed to walking with these children throughout the year—supporting not only their education, but their emotional and spiritual well-being as well.
Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with the New Day Project and the Embrace Center. Your support is shaping new beginnings and opening doors to a brighter future for every child.
