A Place Where Children Feel at Home
At the “Hope” Children’s Center, something beautiful is happening every day — a quiet, consistent care for children who need it most. Many of them come from displaced families, large households, or situations that no child should have to face. For these families, the day program at the center has become a real lifeline.
Here, children are not just fed — they are known and loved. The meals are warm and nourishing. The days are filled with joy, creativity, and learning. Just this past week, the children visited the library, watched a puppet performance, played quiz games, learned how to make buns and salads, crafted handmade gifts from simple materials, and even explored local plants and nature. And of course, there was celebration — one of the girls had a birthday, and the whole group joined in with laughter and love.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes, the center’s staff continue their faithful work to provide for the children in practical ways. The greenhouse has been a great blessing — supplying the kitchen with fresh greens and early vegetables. There’s always salad on the table, and now they’ve even started canning their own cucumbers and squash for the winter months ahead.
All of this is possible thanks to the kind support of those who give through IMOCE. You are helping create not just meals, but memories. Not just activities, but a sense of safety and belonging.
Thank you for standing with these children and their future.
