Ukraine 08/03/2024
Greetings, everyone, to this group. Ukraine is here with us. Thanks to God, we are alive and able to serve, but each day brings new stress and challenges.
A few updates from the Odessa region, specifically from the team in Balta.
Greetings to all. Here is the work report from Balta.
Active work continues on developing clubs at the development center. Currently, we have three clubs that continue to operate. The children especially enjoy the Hand Made club, which offers new creative ideas each time. Some children are brought by their mothers, while others are brought by their grandmothers, who are also encouraged to foster the children’s creativity. In fact, the grandmothers often help the children. Each session begins with a prayer. Additionally, we have an interactive club. Every time we conduct classes in different professional fields, but this group of children particularly enjoys cooking. While we wait for the sewing machines sent to us by Anatoliy Petrovych, we are cooking more often! We also participated in an event dedicated to Father’s Day, organized by our missionary Katya and Pastor Viktor. We contributed by setting up a bouncy castle and provided cotton candy and popcorn machines.
The word of God was preached at the local stadium, and the event concluded with a prayer for Ukraine. Afterward, the invited fathers, along with the children who attend Sunday school in Pishchana, had the opportunity to compete in various sports. There were also go-kart races. After the event, the winners were announced and awarded cups and medals. We made gifts on behalf of the church for the local sports school. We also continue to support the elderly. In our team, we have a couple, Svitlana and Yaroslav, who regularly visit them. We also visited Natalka (a woman with a Category 1 disability) who lives in a care facility. We took her to the dentist and provided her with diapers and urological pads.
A big thank you to the IMOSCE mission, Anatoliy Petrovych, and all those who care. It is an honor for us to work together for the preaching of the Gospel. May our Heavenly Father bless you.
