Good evening and praise Jesus.
My name is Baraka and together with my wife; we serve as Pastors of church in Kisumu, Kenya.
We are grateful to God for the house of prayer and to IMOCE for the great financial support we have received that has enabled us to have a church that has been able to transform lives of people in great ways as we continue to preach Jesus.
I will share of what has been going on over the last weeks or so.

We are so grateful to God that we were able to celebrate the church’s second anniversary. It has been 2 solid years of growth and transformation and preaching the gospel and reaching out to many lives through the church. We have had great testimonies of what Jesus has done in peoples lives through the church. Once again we are grateful to IMOCE and everyone for being our partners in building the church. Thank you for allowing God use you to touch lives in Africa.
We had a great service and sermon spoken on the Favor Of God over our lives.
Two women who are widows and have been with us since we began gave a testimony of how God has used the church to transform her life and that of their children who are currently active in church. They also share how the church has transformed the community in many other ways. Glory be to God.

Our vision as a church remains to be making disciples for Jesus Christ. I thank God for the opportunity I have to touch the lives of people and especially the youth in mentorship and discipleship. I had time to meet our youth who are current part of our project year for God to speak life into them and to listen to their hearts too. Great times.

Every second Friday of the month we hold prayer and fasting as a church and meet in the evenings for prayers. This has been transformative times. I love how the Holy Spirt has used me to speak His word into the lives of the congregants during our prayer sessions. We pray for one another and speak blessing into the lives of each other. During our last prayer service, we had a testimony from one of our members who had been praying for a relative to get saved. We had prayed together for the salvation of that family member. This past Friday we celebrated the salvation of that family member. God had met them. Such a glorious testimony. Glory to God.

We are grateful for the feeding program that we host in our church as part of our role to the community and as a way of evangelism too. We continue to feed about 128 people every single evening. These are the people who cannot afford even a single meal in a day. Grandmothers and fathers, single parents, and children.
We that God for everyone who partners with us in this program. Because of you, someone is not sleeping hungry. We truest that God will continue to provide as we reach out to more people too. We are also thankful that we have been able to keep families together through this program.

We are also excited for the new developments taking place in the church. We thank God for finances to complete the stalled building projects in the church.
We are currently finishing the two floor rooms. We are hopeful that one of the rooms will serve our little children who come which parents for Sunday services. And we can also finally have a prayer room.

Our ministries ( kids, pre teens, teens and youth) remain avenues where more and more lives are reached at their respective levels. Great to see young people excited for Christ.

It is a great privilege to also serve our people as their pastors and also speak and preach the gospel of Christ and of hope to them. We are happy that every Sunday we get to have our transformational services and times of prayer and worship.
It may not be easy sometimes but when the joy of the Lord is our strength and with the backing of the Holy Spirit then we do not have barriers in preaching the gospel. Our vision is to see more and more people being drawn to Jesus in salvation.

I had a meeting with our ministry leaders this week. To know how their walk with God is going, what challenges they face and to pray together. They shared heart touching experiences of what the Holy Spirt Is doing in their lives. We are grateful that we can be able to work for Jesus as a team, as one body.

Once again
We are grateful for your support, prayers and partnership that keeps us going in preaching Jesus and enabling us to touch lives of many more through the church. We also have you in our prayers… always.
