Supporting missionaries in Kenya 10/03/2024
Greetings from Kenya!
Inna Merzla has been in Africa for 10 months, experiencing an incredible journey with Jesus. As part of the “Child Sponsorship” program, there are children with special needs involved. In Kisumu, where she serves, there is a special school where these boys and girls learn to knit, sew, and craft. This gives them the opportunity to acquire valuable skills and a future profession. The children were excited to see a “white” girl, and Inna felt great joy in hugging and loving them.
They also provided exam paper for middle school students at Victory School, located near the missionary base. These children also attend the local church’s youth services, and Inna sees how precious and special each one is. She also spent time with the office team working on social projects—four wonderful servants of God. Inna is grateful for faithful people, though building a strong team can sometimes be a challenge.
Soon, Inna will be heading to Ukraine for a vacation and is excited to reunite with her family and friends, as she misses them dearly.
One of the families she visited is Joseph’s family. Unfortunately, his mother struggles with alcohol addiction, and their living conditions are difficult. Although the team had provided them with a bed, both mother and son still sleep on mattresses on the floor. They blessed Joseph with clothing and food, and shared the Gospel with his mother, encouraging her faith in Jesus.
For ministry, they use motorcycles and ATVs, which are a blessing from God as they allow them to visit schools, families, and buy food. Inna has never traveled so much by motorcycle before!
Inna extends her heartfelt thanks to her support team: “Thank you for your unwavering support! Together, we are spreading the Kingdom of God. I bless you in the name of Jesus!”
