Supporting missionaries in Kenya 07/24/2024
Hello! I am Sasha Syskova, part of the Assistance Mission. I am responsible for finances and translation at the Mission. I am also involved in the youth ministry at the New Life Church on Dunga. Thank you all for your financial support. One of my main tasks at the mission is translation. I translate from Russian to English and from English to Russian.
We have discipleship training with two leaders from IHOP, the International House of Prayer in America, and I translate this teaching. Translation is needed not only for the locals but also for our team because not everyone knows English. I am very grateful that even when I am translating, God always speaks to me personally through the translation.
Home visits continue! Recently, a woman from our church was left alone with her children by her husband. Unfortunately, she has kidney problems, and her whole body is swollen. We believe in her complete healing and the restoration of her family! It is difficult for her to walk to church, even though it is a short distance. We decided that we would drive her to church, and one of our sisters from the church agreed to visit her once a week to have spiritual fellowship.
Here, I interact with a local girl, Salla. Recently, she has really started to change and discover who Jesus Christ truly is. She decided to join Year to God. I tithe and distribute salaries to our workers. I often visit various banks for the mission’s financial matters.
I recently took on responsibility for all the home groups and their leaders. We decided to take a break from youth meetings. We decided to seek God more in this area and hold youth meetings once a month. We want a vision from God for true youth ministry. Instead, we are focusing on home groups and discipleship. These settings allow for more effective engagement with youth and their relationship with God.
Once again, a huge thank you to everyone. I am sincerely grateful that you agreed to support me. With your help, many people come to know Jesus Christ, and that is a great joy. May God bless you and your families!!!
