For many years, we have been supporting a missionary base in Kenya, where dedicated workers serve the most vulnerable communities. One of them is Sasha Syskova, who serves full-time with Mission Assistance in the slums of Dunga, Kisumu. Her ministry focuses on finance, translation, youth work, and providing first aid.

A significant part of Sasha’s work involves translation. Since both the church and the mission base are deeply committed to discipleship, she translates from Russian to English throughout the week. She serves as a translator for the “Year for God” Bible school three to four times a week, as well as for discipleship groups, weekly leadership seminars, and Sunday services. She also helps bridge the language gap among mission team members, as some speak only English while others speak Russian or Ukrainian.

Beyond translation, Sasha is actively involved in first aid. In emergencies, she assists people in getting medical care and accompanies them to the hospital when needed. One recent case involved a young boy who began convulsing due to a high fever right after Sunday service. Thanks to quick action, he was taken to the emergency room and, by God’s grace, has now fully recovered. Whenever possible, the team also provides medicine to those in need.

Sasha also plays a key role in the youth ministry. Together with her team, she helps organize and lead both large Saturday gatherings and smaller discipleship groups. Their goal is to ensure that every young person becomes part of a spiritual community and develops a personal relationship with God.

Right now, the mission’s leadership team is on a retreat, reflecting on their strengths and weaknesses, learning what it truly means to have a shepherd’s heart, and planning the next steps to bring their vision to life.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supports this ministry. Because of your prayers, generosity, and love, lives are being transformed—people are finding freedom, salvation, and hope. Thank you for making this mission possible. May God bless you abundantly!
