Serving God and Strengthening Lives in Kenya
Greetings everyone,
My name is Baraka, and together with my family, we serve as pastors in our local churches in Kenya in partnership with Mission Assistance. I am grateful for the opportunity to share what God has been doing through our ministry and the work taking place in our community.
Over the past weeks, I have dedicated time to visiting members of our church and other people in their homes. These visits allow us to better understand how they are doing, the condition of their lives and livelihoods, their well-being, and the challenges they may be facing. Most importantly, each visit becomes an opportunity to pray with them, encourage them, and remind them of God’s love and faithfulness.
During one of these visits, we met with a man from our town who has been attending our church for almost two years. He was sick, so we spent time praying with him and encouraging him. A few days later, he shared with us that he was feeling much better. We give thanks to God for His mercy and care.
Last week, I also had the joy of serving in the pre-teens ministry, working with children aged 8 to 12 years. It was an exciting and meaningful time as we taught them about honoring God and living in obedience to Him. Seeing young hearts grow in the knowledge of God is always a great blessing.
We also held a special Good Friday worship evening at church. It was a powerful time of reflection, worship, and encountering the presence of God. Together, we remembered the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and lifted our hearts in worship in His sanctuary.
In addition, I continue to meet with three young men every Saturday morning for mentorship and discipleship. During these meetings, we study the Word of God and discuss how they see life in light of what Scripture teaches. I believe that discipleship is one of the most important ways to raise strong ambassadors for Christ who can impact others and serve faithfully.
Last week, I also met with our church ministry leaders for a time of prayer, worship, and discussion. We talked about important matters concerning the ministries and took time to appreciate one another for the contributions each person makes to the work of God. It was a meaningful moment of unity, encouragement, and shared vision.
We are deeply thankful to IMOCE, Mission Assistance, and brother Anatoliy Kolomiyets for supporting our family and the church in different ways. Your help has contributed greatly to establishing and strengthening the church, which continues to transform the lives of many people we reach through evangelism, discipleship, and pastoral care.
May God bless you abundantly for your love, prayers, and support.
