Missionary work in Kenya by missionary Nataliia Naukwa
Last week, with the support of IMOCE and Anatolii, a large-scale evangelistic camp for children, Happy Time, was held in Kenya, bringing together around 600 children of different ages.
Each station offered unique activities and joyful surprises:
- Bouncy Castle — for many children, it was their first time seeing a bouncy castle, making it an exciting discovery.
- Cotton Candy — some children saved the candy to share with their families at home.
- Craft Workshop — children enjoyed drawing and creating bracelets, often trying art supplies for the first time.
- Games Station — fun activities with small gifts as prizes.
- Face Painting — volunteers decorated children’s faces, adding a festive touch.
- Snack Station — every child received a snack, which many carefully saved to take home.
This camp became a true celebration, leaving unforgettable memories for children living in slums.
Ministry for Children Aged 8–12
Following the camp, a special program was held for pre-teens.
- Meals — before the program began, the children were provided with food, often their only meal of the day or even the week.
- Bible Quiz — this session focused on the Gospel of Mark. Three teams competed in a variety of tasks, encouraging teamwork and biblical knowledge. Prizes were awarded to winners and participants alike.
Trip to the Ocean
A highlight of the week was organizing a trip to the ocean for children from the orphanage. For the first time in seven years, they had the chance to see something beyond their hometown.
- Planning and Organization — from fundraising to shopping and scheduling, every detail was carefully managed.
- Daily Activities — the children spent time at the ocean, creating joyful and lasting memories.
- Meal Preparation — two volunteers cooked meals daily for 35 people, dedicating hours to ensure everything was ready.
We are deeply thankful to everyone who supports missionaries financially and through prayers! Your contributions make projects like these possible. May God bless your involvement in supporting the ministry in Kenya!
