Greetings everyone from Natalia Onguko.
I would like to share with you some updates. We are grateful to IMOCE for supporting our 4 pastors on the ground. Our four churches – Life Centers located in West Pokot, serving the unreached and needy communities.
Pastor Wilson, Charles, Daniel and Kevin continued normal Sunday services and mid-week fellowships, devotions and bible study in the past two weeks even thou with a reduced attendance witnessed across the centers majorly due to the impact of the heavy rains being experienced in the Country now. Saturday prayer meeting was held in Kachanguya with the community, we had a shortage of food supply in the centers for the past two weeks however we are working on getting more supplies to the people who are currently having to deal with flash floods, hunger and confined in homesteads due to flooded rivers.
The pastors currently serving in West Pokot have been handy in helping the most affected persons in the community especially women to get around the floods and ensuring children safety when crossing rivers and flooded areas. Children remain vulnerable group in this period of floods, we are working to provide food, warm clothing and assorted medication to help ensure the health of our children. This activity is currently underway with plans to serve over 300 children.
The Construction of the Pastors house in Cheporomwagh halted for two weeks due to floods that made transportation of the construction materials to site impassable, we hope to finish the house by end of this month so that the pastor can have a good base from which he will serve the community at Cheporomwagh.
Thank you for standing with us, praying with us! May God abundantly bless each and everyone of you!
