I’ll tell you about life here during the last week. As a family, we went to visit our missionary friends in the Turkana desert. Here it is +42 during the day, and +31 at night!!! They have their own small shelter for teenagers and supervise a school for adults, as most of the population can neither read nor write. We help them with construction. Oleg is building a room for children, and a kitchen for missionaries. And I supervise the projects of our mission ASSISTANCE from a distance. I dream that the leaders of these projects will devote their whole hearts to God and have fear and wisdom from the Lord’s Freedom in Him! Healing and Forgiveness!
You know, I’ve been looking at the desert night sky a lot this week. And I talk a lot about the culture of local people, their life and mentality. And God said, “Just love. Teach them to love, but first love them. Show me how. This is me”.
Today I will describe in more detail my favorite project of the mission – SPONSORSHIP OF A CHILD. I love him and see the value in him:

  1. This is a social project. But he’s at church! We help Christians get an education! So that every child can read and write! I had a chance for the future and to learn PERSONALLY by reading the Word of God.

2. This project helps to attract unbelievers. We are ready to serve finance day by day for unbelievers and by this show the power and love of our Lord!

At the moment, we have 526 children in the project (excluding graduates of April 2022). Unfortunately, we are not yet able to afford a new full-scale enrollment for the new academic year. The war in Ukraine had a great impact on us as well. The sponsors of our children were from Ukraine and from Russia. And today many of them are in big trouble. We arranged meetings with parents, where we also fervently prayed for Ukraine!!! The project is going through hard times, but we believe that the Lord will open a new door and children will continue to receive an education!

After all, almost all these children are from very poor families, whose parents themselves are not educated and sow very low-paid hard work, and cannot even feed their children, not to mention education.
Pray that we will worthily serve the Lord here! About people who today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow will hear the Gospel or receive help from the church! May they see God’s hand in it! His Power!!! May our church be strengthened in faith! Healed, reborn, and multiplied in Him! And I thank you for supporting us financially, may your reward be great with God for this!!!
