A Heart Made New: A Special Day for Children in Lubny
Some days are meant to be remembered. For over sixty children at the Lubny Social Rehabilitation Center “Nadiia,” this day was one of them — joyful, heartwarming, and deeply meaningful.
A team from the “Chosen” ministry of Bethel Church (Chernivtsi) traveled across the country to serve these children with love and purpose. They came not just with games and crafts, but with a message: your heart matters — and God can heal it.
Throughout the day, the children explored stories from the Bible, learned memory verses, and took part in exciting group activities. There were games, contests, and creative workshops — from woodburning art to handmade keychains and picture frames. There was laughter and delight, a shared lunch, ice cream treats, and gift bags filled with goodies. But more than anything, there was space for something sacred.
The heart of the day’s message was simple, yet profound: our hearts can carry pride, anger, envy, dishonesty, and rebellion — but God invites us to exchange these burdens for gentleness, kindness, honesty, and love for others.
At the end of the day, the children joined in a symbolic quest-game that represented cleansing and healing of the soul. What looked like a playful activity held a deep spiritual truth. And maybe — just maybe — some of these young hearts will never forget it.
We are grateful to Anatoliy Petrovych, whose unwavering passion for serving others continues to inspire. May the Lord strengthen him, guide him, and bless him with health and open doors. And to everyone who supports this ministry — thank you. Your faith in action brings hope where it’s needed most.
Because faith without works is empty — but your love is making a difference.
Thank you for being part of God’s story in the lives of these children.
