When Darkness Deepens, Hope Still Speaks
Ukraine remains free — but wounded. The war continues, cities shake under constant attacks, and entire regions now live in darkness for 13–16 hours a day. Homes stand cold and silent. Children fall asleep without electricity. Families endure exhaustion that words can hardly hold.
And yet, even in this night, people continue to stand.
In this season of deep fatigue — when there are more tears than smiles — the team in Ukraine keeps serving with the quiet, steady strength that comes only from God. With every new challenge, they choose not to step back, but to move forward.
Our teen ministry spaces, Happy Time, continue gathering young people. Generators hum in the background, giving just enough light for teens to meet, talk, and find a moment of peace.
Our church-based humanitarian hub works daily as more displaced families arrive. Here people receive clothing, food, practical support — but also something deeper: the comfort of Scripture, prayer, and a safe place to breathe again.
Several villages have now opened their homes to evacuees arriving from Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia. The team brought help to these families as well, making sure no one is left unseen.
Special care is given to households raising children with disabilities. They received food packages provided through an international foundation, bringing relief in a time when everyday life is especially hard.
Support for the military continues. Their needs remain vast, and even a small contribution matters. This month the team sent camouflage nets, food supplies, warm clothing, and mattresses — simple things that become lifelines on the front line.
Another part of the ministry is traveling to children who have suffered from the war to provide psychological care. These meetings are more than lessons or consultations. They are conversations heart to heart — places where children finally feel safe enough to speak.
They talk about loss.
About fear.
About the silence that followed explosions.
But they also talk about dreams — about who they hope to become, how they want to laugh again, how they want to live.
In these moments, the team is not just offering support. They are holding fragile hearts, helping them carry pain that was too heavy to carry alone. Every such meeting is a step toward healing, a reminder to a child that they are not forgotten, not abandoned, not lost in the noise of war.
This ministry continues only because people choose to stand with Ukraine, pray, and give.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who supports the work carried out through IMOCE.
Your kindness brings warmth where the nights are longest.
Your faithfulness helps keep hope alive.
May the Lord richly bless each one of you.
