Welcome, friends! Today is Saturday, and Ukraine 🇺🇦 is on the line. We stand in prayer, and thanks to you, we serve our people.
Today I want to tell you about the “Bread of Victory” project supported by the IMOCE mission. This bread is baked in a charitable bakery in Kyiv but reaches its recipients all over Ukraine. In November, 44,300 loaves of bread were baked.
This bread goes along the entire front line, and most importantly, the volunteers delivering the bread to people affected by war and its consequences bring spiritual bread to them. This combination is very inspiring because people listen to the Word of God. The bread goes to the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Chernihiv, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions on a regular basis, to various villages and cities.
During winter, 50% of the bread is sent through Nova Poshta (postal service). There are resilience points where volunteers work, and people can come closer to get the bread. For example, in Kramatorsk (Donetsk region), volunteers, chaplains, and others sometimes arrive even at night, asking to load their vehicles with bread before heading to the east. Every day, we also send bread to the military.
The bread-baking project started on February 27, 2022, when there was a shortage of bread in Kyiv region. It has turned into a ministry. We believe that by receiving both types of bread, spiritual and physical, God works in the hearts and lives of people!
Thank you, friends, to everyone who contributed to the success of the “Bread of Victory” project! Thanks to you, people receive both physical and spiritual bread!
