Dear brothers and sisters, welcome to Mexico. First, I want to tell you a little more about us.
We have been living in Guayimas, Sonora, since last September and serving this nation together. Together with the youth of the local church Ciudad de Refugio, we run the children’s evangelistic program Happy Time.
I want to testify to you how this program opens doors for the gospel. Yesterday we spent Happy Time in one population, where the Seris tribe lives. A couple of years ago, the pastor of the local church with whom we serve went to the same place to distribute humanitarian aid to them, but they kicked him out. But a couple of weeks ago, when we were doing a program in a city that is 78 km away, the leader of this population drove by and invited us to spend Happy Time with them.
This is the fourth time we have served the local tribes. They are very isolated, practice witchcraft and keep people out of their communities, but through Happy Time ministries, we have been able to bring the gospels to children and adults.
The IMOCE mission also supports the local church in the children’s ministry. They give marriage to the children all year round, twice a week, and before the wedding, they teach Bible lessons. Abby teaches lessons to children aged 6-7 and I teach to teenagers over 13 years old. We are very glad that we can serve them and teach them God’s word.
We sincerely thank you all for your prayers and financial support. May God richly bless you. Next week we will share more with you about serving the mission in Mexico.
